About This Guide

A guide for building and changing business apps together with Claude, even if you have never written code.

What is vibe coding?

Vibe coding means describing what you want in plain words and letting an AI build the app. On this platform the AI is Claude Code. Claude writes the code and does the technical work.

Your part is to say what you want and to check what was built. You do not need to read code or memorize commands.

You do three things

  1. Ask Claude — copy a request from this guide and paste it into Claude Code.
  2. Check the screen — Claude opens the changed app on your own computer and shows it to you. Try it yourself.
  3. Merge on GitHub — if everything looks right, press a button to put it into production.

Everything else is done by Claude or by an administrator.

Who and what is involved

NameRole
YouSay what you want, check the result, and decide whether it goes to production
Claude CodeBuilds and changes apps at your request. It lives inside the Claude desktop app
GitHubWhere the code, the blueprint of every app, is kept. You check and merge changes here
The screen Claude opensA screen on your own computer for trying a change before it reaches production. The data in it is made-up test data
PreviewA trial environment on the internet, for trying a change with real data or showing it to someone else. One is prepared only when you ask Claude for it
App PortalThe front door to the production apps. Finished apps are opened from the App Portal
AdministratorThe person who handles settings that neither you nor Claude can change, such as accounts and who may open an app

What to ask Claude, and what to ask an administrator

You can ask Claude for things like these:

  • Create a new app
  • Change wording, colors, or the order of things on a screen
  • Add input fields, lists, search, or totals
  • Fix a bug

Ask an administrator for things like these:

  • Letting more people open an app, or giving different roles different features
  • Settings that need a secret value, such as a password or an API key
  • Fixing production data directly, or stopping or deleting an app

The full list is in When to Ask an Administrator.

Five promises

  1. Ask for one thing per request. Mixing several things makes the result hard to check.
  2. Have Claude explain its plan before it starts. Keep asking until you understand it.
  3. Check the screen with your own eyes before you merge.
  4. Do not merge while a check shows a red ×.
  5. Never type a secret value, such as a password, into your conversation with Claude. Ask an administrator instead.
